Duncanville High School Choir - TASA Midwinter Performance Clip - Feb. 2022

The Duncanville High School Choir has been privileged to perform on some big stages before large audiences. Last week, the group of 39 students traveled to Austin to inspire school leaders, teachers and educators from all over the state at the Texas Association of School Administrators Midwinter Conference. Their powerful and inspiring performance had some in tears and just about everyone in the convention center on their feet with the final notes of “We Shall Overcome.”
The choir opened the general session on day two of the conference. They performed for approximately 20 minutes and their song selections were all about support and motivation, including “Stand By Me” and “Lovely Day.”
The moment that prompted the crowd’s standing ovation came from Duncanville High School Sophomore Jeffrey Berry Jr. as he closed with a dramatic solo performance.
