Note: This class is intended for GR 3-5 theatre newcomers and those with some experience looking to establish foundational skills in acting.

Acting I is designed for (GR 3-5) newcomers curious about acting, and those who’ve previously dipped their toes in, and are now ready to take the plunge to add foundational skills to their actor's toolbox! Students will learn and improve skills such as timing, diction, body language, facial expression, eye contact, and action vs. reaction. 

The first portion of this class will introduce foundational concepts of acting and focus on skill-building. Once foundational skills have been established, students will be cast in a group scene or short play (Max. 15 min) and rehearse within their class, utilizing their foundational acting skills to prepare for the Term-End showcase, where students will perform their scene or short play for loved ones.

Note: This class is intended for GR 3-5 actors with previous theatre experience looking to build upon foundational skills and take their acting to the next level.

Acting II is designed for (GR 3-5) students with previous acting experience looking to reinforce and build upon foundational acting skills already in the actor’s toolbox. Students will develop skills surrounding character development, improvisation, choosing and practicing monologues, storytelling, and everything it takes to be prepared for an audition.
The first portion of this class will build upon foundational concepts of acting and focus on practice and skill-building. In the second portion of class, students will be cast in a group scene or short play (Max. 15 min) and rehearse within their class, utilizing their new skills to prepare for the Term-End showcase, where students will perform their scene or short play for loved ones.
