Kidnapping and Abuse Allegations

The plaintiff says she has a child with the defendant, and she claims he and his new wife kidnapped her daughter and then told Child Protective Services that she duct-taped her child and fed her alcohol. She’s suing for defamation. The defendants say the plaintiff’s mother is raising the child, and they claim the child doesn’t feel safe in the plaintiff’s home. They deny kidnapping the child and they’re countersuing for defamation and emotional distress.
