Bar Owners vs. ‘Animal House’ Tenant

The plaintiff and her husband own a bar and are being sued by a patron who was looking for a place to live. They claim they rented the apartment above the bar to the defendant, and he turned it into an animal house. They’re suing for damages and harassment. The defendant claims that he often heard them arguing after he moved in. He says the plaintiffs are suing for more than he owes because he did not damage the apartment, nor did he ever harass them.
