A First-Date Disaster

The plaintiff says the defendant, her former lover, was an unsatisfactory date. The defendant’s business was failing, and the plaintiff loaned him some money to keep it afloat. She also loaned him money for groceries to feed his children. However, she has yet to be repaid, so she’s suing for those loans. The defendant insists he met the defendant on a website for one-night stands and insists the money was a gift.
