The plaintiff and defendant were married for 15 years but got divorced over family issues. She says their daughter had medical issues they had to care for after the divorce, and the defendant has not pitched in to pay the associated bills. Because of that, the plaintiff is suing for the unpaid half of the medical bills. The defendant is countersuing for garnished income taxes because the plaintiff did not claim certain amounts on her taxes.
